WHAT EXACTLY IS A VIRUS?

    A virus is a non-living microscopic particle (smaller than a bacterium).
    It consists of hereditary material
    And it is packaged in a protein envelope
    A virus needs a host to multiply and looks for a cell to live in (this is the infection) and then multiply (this is the viral infection).

WHAT IS ACTUALLY IMPORTANT?

    Right now it is important to optimise our immune system, so make sure our body barriers are ok. This means that our skin and intestines must be of optimal quality so that we can keep the pathogens out. We strengthen this barrier, as you all know, with Gut Glow, Renew & Protect and probiotics.

WHAT IS ACTUALLY IMPORTANT?

    If the virus (or another pathogen) has entered because the barrier is not optimal (as in the case of a leaking intestine), our immune system must take action. At first this is our innate immune system and only our adaptive immune system can do that.
    What can we do to allow the immune system to function optimally? The immune system must be able to turn on, but it must also be able to turn off. We can do this with, among other things, vitamin D, minerals, vitamin B's. Vitamin C ensures that the white blood cells can do their work optimally, and that B cells are produced. These cells (also called memory cells) produce antibodies against a pathogen and make it harmless. B-memory cells are formed after the first infection and only come into action when the same pathogen enters the body a second time.   
    Should you become infected with the virus again, the immune system knows exactly what to do.
    Reducing stress (stress also opens up our barriers) and nutrition with sufficient fibre and fewer anti-nutrients.
